Solihull is easy to get to and has accessible road and rail routes to nearby Coventry, Birmingham, Worcester, Warwick, Leamington Spa and Stratford-upon-Avon. It is close to the M6, M40 and M42 allowing access to towns and cities further afield. There are regular bus services and trains to nearby towns and cities as well as further afield to Worcester and London.

There is a wide variety of good schools, both state and private in Solihull, including Tudor Grange, Alderbrook, St Martins, Lighthall, Solihull School and Arden Academy. These compliment other state and private schools in nearby Coventry, Birmingham and Warwick.

Sporty types will love Solihull. Whether it’s rugby, cricket, football, golf, archery, cycling or swimming, there is something for everyone. The Tudor Grange Leisure Centre, which backs on to Tudor Grange Park, offers swimming and a 150-station state of the art gym alongside other sporting opportunities and the Norman Green Athletics Track next door is used by the Solihull and Small Heath Athletics Club. Parks and nature trails in and around the town are great for those who love walking and there is even a skate park and an 18-hole pitch and putt in Tudor Grange Park.

Solihull is a busy town with a great atmosphere and there is plenty to see and do for those who are lucky enough to live and work here. Although close to other major towns and cities, Solihull has some great outdoor space including Brueton Park which feature nature trails and country walks. National Trust properties Baddesley Clinton and Packwood House are close by and there are plenty of cinemas, music venues such as the Resorts World Arena and opportunities to see theatre productions thanks to the Core Theatre which is part of the Solihull Arts Complex.

The town has a symphony orchestra, a professional ballet school as well as a troop of mixed border Morris Dancers. The National Motorcycle Museum is popular and within the borough is Berkswell Mill, an historic windmill, and a miniature steam railway.

All this means Solihull is a very desirable place to live and its housing stock has expanded to include everything from period to new build properties, flats to grand detached homes and everything in between. Given its location, proximity to other major towns and cities, excellent road and rail links, good schools, and a great atmosphere, it’s little wonder Solihull is a desirable and popular place to live.

Solihull has a thriving retail offering with lots of independent shops and businesses alongside the high street chains and the Touchwood Shopping Centre. It also boasts several well-regarded cafes, pubs, restaurants and hotels as well as post office and supermarkets.
