Nuneaton is a vibrant market town, in north Warwickshire and close to the border with Leicestershire. Its main claim to fame is that author Mary Ann Evans, better known by her pen name of George Eliot, was born on a farm on the Arbury Estate just outside Nuneaton in 1819 and lived in the town for much of her early life. Many of her novels including Scenes of Clerical Life, depict or feature Nuneaton within the story.
The George Eliot Hospital is named after her and there is a statue of her in the town centre. Nuneaton has a variety of housing stock, parks and shops making it ideal for families. It is also near open countryside for those who like to stretch their legs.
Nuneaton is a great place to live given the easy access to the major road networks which include the M1 and it is easy to get to and around thanks to its proximity to the M6, M42 and M69. It is within easy reach of cities such as Leicester, Coventry and Birmingham as well as towns such as Warwick and Leamington. It has two railway stations and a great bus network, all of which makes it a great commuter town.
For those with children, there are plenty of good schools to choose from in town and more in the nearby towns and cities of Coventry, Warwick and Leamington.
